Tuesday, September 2, 2008 is 6 Muluc (Water): This cycle has been an interesting one. Balance is truly the focus, with the combination of giving and receiving, movement and receptivity. Today’s message came slowly, and I was finally forced into a position of typing without awareness of what was to be said. “Just type, it will happen, the flow will follow”. I realized that I found the story of this day in the teaming of movement and receptivity.
Movement can be expressed at any pace: slow, brisk, and amazingly fast, like a flash of lightening. But receptivity is different. Receptivity entails holding a thought, feeling, idea, or expression. There must be a willingness to provide the open door, and enough passiveness to allow that communication to take place. When moving quickly through your world you may see the horizon, the bigger picture, but it takes the receptive nature of muluc, the water, and stillness to savor the essence of the flower along the way.

Wednesday, August 13, 2008 is 12 Muluc (Water): This day will be a day of incorporating everything we have learned and expanded on during this cycle. The water of Muluc is a gentle yet powerful force. Even as we drink in the moment and feel the completeness we are also aware that this is only the beginning. The synergy of the next cycle is already making itself known. The universe is expanding, and we must expand with it.

Thursday, July24, 2008 is 5 Muluc (Water): Did you rest on the day of lamat? Did you enjoy the moment? Have you awakened today with a sense of renewal? You may find new thoughts flowing into your mind. The expansion of this cycle continues. It can be easy to stay on the first plateau of a cycle, brought to us by four, especially when it’s combined with the star. But we are not intended to stay in one place. This day is a gentle reminder that there is more to come. The Tzolkin Calendar shows us the circle of life, and even that which appears the same is of its own nature and flow.
