Saturday, August 9, 2008 is 8 Chicchan (Serpent): Breath deeply, and smile as you satiate yourself with the fullness of your self. Chicchan is an earthy influence. Full of passion and creative expression we are reminded to drink from the spring, feel the warmth of the sun on our skin, smell the fragrant expression of the flowers, and live. We can only live in the moment, so be there. This day will never come again, nor will any other ones. Honor these precious times.

Wednesday, August 6, 2008 is 5 Ik (Wind): Yesterday we brought the primal forces into our worldly experience through the influences of Imix. Today we expand ourselves and our experience through the wind. We are carried by Ik, the wind, fully into the expansion we are only beginning to realize exists. One way to describe this current cycle is through the baking of a cake. Yesterday we chose the bowl, or vessel in which to create. Today we fill that space, adding new ingredients and mixing what was into what will be.

Saturday, July 5, 2008 is 12  Oc (Dog):  This may be one of those “ah-ha” days.  As we complete the integration of the ending cycle, and the new thoughts that accompany this new vibration, we will be offered so many options to transition with grace.  There will be the opportunity for new beginnings, for changing our perception of the past, for the support of others, and will have spiritual alliance and strength.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008 is 9  Manic  (Deer):  On this day we will be comforted and held in grace by the divine presence and the heart of our worldly mother.  We will be reminded of the open door, and may even get a glimpse of the beauty of this cycle.

The glyph and tone for the day is derived from the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, in the great cycle 12.19.16.5.  One the first day of this cycle there are 1,221 days remaining in the great cycle that began in 3115 B.C and ends in 2012, A.D.

Why use such an ancient system?  We may live in what appears to be a complex, sophisticated world, but that is only on the outside.  We still have the same basic building blocks for our interpretation between our internal and external experience.  Each of the 20 glyphs represents a one of the soul personalities, or spiritual tools intended to help us bring meaning to our lives and make those experiences our own.

Tuesday, June 24, 2008 is 1  Cauac  (Rainstorm):  This cycle, on its first few days, shows a shift on the planet toward grace and light.  The rainstorm brings purification and transformation.  It is that spark, the echo of thunder and the flash of lightning that snaps us into awareness.  It is within the state of oneness that we show our light, experiencing the exhilarating sense of freedom that comes with our unity with source.

Today is an earthy day so brimming with life that we find ourselves nearly drunk on its nectar. Yesterday was a day to release and fill yourself with the cosmic or universal presence. Today is the day to balance your cosmic banquet with the many wonderful gifts of the world. Bring your connectivity to the planet to its brightest and lightest level, and drink richly from the stream that Gaia, our great mother earth provides. Perhaps she offers us today the ingredients that will form into our bounty.

Saturday, May 31, 2008 is 3 Men (Eagle): This is a day for action. In the prior day I mentioned the opportunity to convey your desires and offerings. How do we approach life? Do we focus on our acts of service, or the desired outcome? Many have sought the answer to this question, and I do not see content in the answers many receive. This lesson on giving and receiving certainly keeps us occupied!
