Thursday, September 11, 2008 is 2 Edznab (Flint): Edznab brings us clarity and awareness of the polarity we face in this world. Just as yesterday was a day to be grounded and within the moment with the energy of Caban, today we find it even more important to stay connected.
With the energy of Edznab we find the doorway open, and are challenged to find the answers. Where will those answers be found, in the motion of the masses, in the eyes of another, or within yourself? The open doorway gives us infinate choices, but it is up to us to choose wisely.

Friday, August 22, 2008 is 8 Edznab (Flint): There is the expression, “Be careful what you pray for, for you may get it”. I chuckle as I write this, for I can quickly and easily find many examples in my own life when I have said, “did I really ask for this?”
Today is a good day to reflect, yet again, and bring more clarity to the dream. Even the best prototype can show flaws, but that is the role of this day. Test, examine, and refine.
Yesterday we tested the waters, and brought enough of the dream into the physical. Today we ask ourselves those magical questions: “is this what I want”? Even better: “how will this step affect me, am I willing to make the concessions needed to have what I ask for?”

Saturday, August 2, 2008 is 1 Edznab (Flint): This day, the first day of the cycle, and maybe even the entire thirteen day cycle, may be one of facing oneself in the mirror. Edznab is the flint, or spark of new life. The chick inside the egg has never questioned the outside world, and until this day has not challenged the safe space where it has resided. But that day does come when the chick outgrows its shell, and must exert itself to free itself from what is now confining. We all wear, or carry, our own shells, and at some point in our lives we realize that the shell exists.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 is 6 Edznab (Flint): This 13-day cycle has shown a clear pattern of the rise and fall from the earth to cosmic, light to dark, day to night, or conscious to unconscious. The pattern can be seen like the curves of a serpent, an ancient symbol on this planet.
Our even-numbered days have certainly dipped into the depth and introspective spaces through Ix, the Jaguar, and Cib, the vulture. Today we delve back into the shadow or night through Edznab.
Edznab greets us with the illusions of our worldly existence. How many times do we face our challenges only to find we are shadow-boxing with a mirror. Today is a good day for discovery. Are you challenges outside of yourself, or internal? Are they illusion?
