How often do we think about how wonderful it is, just to be able to pause? Of course we don’t think about it, the mind works far too quickly to be able to appreciate something so simple.

January 3, 2010 is 13 Caban, the Earth, in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. Collectively we have been here a very long time. How much do we own up to our long-term relationship with the world around us? Who are we in this relational space? Do we accept our wisdom, or express ourselves as children of the earth, or manage a combination of both?

December 26, 2009 is 5 Muluc, the Water, in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. The number five is a gateway to evolution, a time when we leave the comforts of home and explore a world beyond the basics. Why would we ever want to resume our normal lives, if we can even define what is normal.

Today is December 14, 2009 6 Caban the Earth in the Mayan calendar. Isn’t it truly amazing that we can stand in one place and watch so much come to us?
