Saturday, August 30, 2008 is 3 Cimi (Death): This cycle truly is in the spirit of balance. Yesterday we had the fire and passion of Chicchan, and today we have the restful, internal surrender into the hands of Cimi. The best way to view Cimi in this cycle is through the moment before a birth.
Life does not begin with birth, it begins with conception. This is the third day of the cycle. We have seen the beginning, giving us the seed. We have infused into the seed all the passion and life we can muster, and on the day of Cimi we incubate that energy. We must have stillness to see our reflection in the pond, and it is in seeing ourselves clearly that we also find vision for our direction.

Sunday, August 10, 2008 is 9 Cimi (Death): The high point in this cycle has come and passed. It’s funny how the point of manifestation comes to play in a downward part of the cycle. Today is Cimi, a day of reflection and release. Did you partake in the feast that was yesterday? Each of us has our own experience in what we can accept and how we will digest our bounty. The gluttonous may repent. The “can’t have’s” may wallow in their lack. We may feel a sense of fulfillment, even gratitude, in our perception of what we have received, or not.

Monday, July 21, 2008 is 2 Cimi (Death): To fly the young bird must give up the comfort of the nest. For the spirit to soar, the physical body must give up the comfort of what it has come to know.
Children go through a phase when they realize they are separate from their mother. This can be a traumatic time, at least for the moment. Yet as they explore, and discover, they quickly forget. This day is two, the day we separate from the oneness and explore both our relationship with others as well as our duality.

Tuesday, July 1, 2008 is 8 Cimi (Death): This amazing cycle will continue to challenge and intrigue. Today is the day of Cimi, or Death. The death of what? In order to have the new paradigm we must let go of the old. What will die away, will it be the old ways, or the dream?
