Tuesday, October 14, 2008 is 9 Chuen (Monkey): Yesterday brought the emotion of our ability to relate. It may be relating to others, or to ourselves. It might be our relationship to the world as a whole, exploring that immense wall of perceptions and beliefs that filter our experiences.
Chuen is the monkey, that child-like expression that can at times get us into trouble. Isn’t living all about finding balance between the exploring nature of our inner child and the rigid boundaries we create when we choose? The teeter totter lives on within us. What part of the teeter totter did you choose for your ride?
Wednesday, September 24, 2008 is 2 Chuen (Monkey):When at the beginning it is most beneficial to “begin again”, from the viewpoint of the child. In order to step into the viewpoint of the child we must be willing to let go of our well constructed beliefs and the structure we think serves and supports us, and place our trust in a higher power.
We began this cycle with the dog, Oc, so loyal and supporting, like the loving parent watching over us as we take our first steps. This cycle sings out “ready or not, here I come”.My question is who’s speaking, the inner child, or the world.Maybe both!

Thursday, September 4, 2008 is 8 Chuen (Monkey): This day was a challenging one to assess, and I found myself working backward from the final day of this cycle, September 9th, back to this day. Sigh, breath: what is the message within this day? As I focus on the message of Chuen, the monkey, it becomes clear. We are preparing for the days to follow, but our movement is incremental and each step is of value to us.
Today we find that childlike energy of Chuen. I began from the more stereotypical view of the playfulness and even trickery of the character Chuen. But as I bring this entire cycle into the fold, from day one to day thirteen, I can see exactly how the influence of this exuberant force of Chuen expresses itself in this cycle. This cycle is all about balance and the flow that comes about when we have balance. This cycle’s energy of Chuen brings us the transparent nature of flow. There is nothing to hide, and to truly experience the inner child we must have innocence and the ability to express ourselves without hesitation or judgment. The transparent nature of Chuen brings us to freely accept and express ourselves. This is our true act of faith, swinging the door wide open to receive exactly what is intended for us to receive. Tomorrow is the day of receiving, what will be on your plate?

Friday, August 15, 2008 is 1 Chuen (Monkey):We often relate a beginning to childhood, the time of exploration and discovery. The inner child qualities of Chuen give us infinite possibility.Perhaps this day is one for allowing ourselves the bigger picture by opening our eyes and seeing all the options.
Use caution as you open yourself to greater perception.Sometimes our primal wants and unfulfilled needs can come disguised as a vision from the heart.Sometimes our mind steps in to guide us back to what it perceives as “safe”.The ego, oh great ego, is a powerful force. It should not be destroyed, for it serves us well, but understood and maintained in its rightful place.
What do you focus on in creating your dream, and how do you know you are heading in the right direction?Today I find the answer to this question is completeness, that which serves you on every level: body, mind, emotion, and spirit.I believe that this cycle will focus on our holistic wellbeing, and each day a new level of this cycle will unfold.I welcome this cycle with an open mind, heart, and open arms.

Saturday, July 26, 2008 is 7 Chuen (Monkey): This day feels like a play-day. Good thing it falls on a Saturday, when many of us have a day off. Seven is typically seen as a spiritual day, but let’s look at it as the connectivity to our source so that we can be as little children. Today is Cheun, the monkey. Playful, and possibly mischievous. Careful, little one, have fun but don’t take it to extremes.

Sunday, July 6, 2008 is 13 Chuen (Monkey):This final day of the cycle is also the beginning for the next cycle. What energy do we find in this doorway? We have playful Chuen, or the Monkey.Recognition of our spiritual support and guidance gives us spiritual freedom, the freedom to be as the child, playful and innocent. The Monkey can also be a trickster, so use caution that you are not lead astray and away from your path, for tomorrow you begin the next adventure.
