Saturday, August 23, 2008 is 9 Cauac (Rainstorm): Yesterday we asked ourselves if we are willing to make the step, to let it happen. Today is the day in which we transform, and tomorrow comes as the day of completion and manifestation.
This entire thirteen day cycle has focused on releasing our willful ways and stepping into flow. What we receive is not decided solely by outside forces. Much of what we have, or don’t have, is determined by our willingness to receive, our value of self.
Today is the day of purification, guided by Cauac, and our connection to our body of light. This can be a powerful day, aka an empowering moment.

Sunday, August 3, 2008 is 2 Cauac (Rainstorm): Yesterday was a day of destruction, in a sense. Some may face the day with the feeling of, “at last”, and rejoice as they step away from the shell that has contained them for so long. Others step from the shell and feel vulnerable and unprotected. The recognition of one’s self in a new light is a double edged sword – while there is the freedom achieved in seeing so clearly there is the awareness that a part of you has been alone. That aloneness is only an illusion, as will be illustrated tomorrow. Cauac is the rainstorm, and the rainstorm can bring purification.

The glyph and tone for the day is derived from the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, in the great cycle 12.19.16.5. One the first day of this cycle there are 1,221 days remaining in the great cycle that began in 3115 B.C and ends in 2012, A.D.
Why use such an ancient system? We may live in what appears to be a complex, sophisticated world, but that is only on the outside. We still have the same basic building blocks for our interpretation between our internal and external experience. Each of the 20 glyphs represents a one of the soul personalities, or spiritual tools intended to help us bring meaning to our lives and make those experiences our own.
Tuesday, June 24, 2008 is 1 Cauac (Rainstorm): This cycle, on its first few days, shows a shift on the planet toward grace and light. The rainstorm brings purification and transformation. It is that spark, the echo of thunder and the flash of lightning that snaps us into awareness. It is within the state of oneness that we show our light, experiencing the exhilarating sense of freedom that comes with our unity with source.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 is 7 Cauac (Rainstorm): The wisp of smoke that blinded us, and cast us into the world of illusion is easily broken down by the appearance of Cauac, or the Rainstorm. Here we find the purification of our environment, but more importantly the cleansing of our thoughts.
Today is an excellent day to review and recover from your introspective journey. Should you feel weary the universe is available to restore and replenish.
