Wednesday, August 27, 2008 is 13 Akbal (Night, House):  Akbal can be a frightening presence, for it is the darkness and the unknown.  But it is within this space that we also dream, and our dreams are the playground of our journey. 

Akbal is the night, but it is also the house, our inner sanctuary and place of rest.  There is no stagnation in this day, for the next cycle has already come into being, and originates in the dream.  Tomorrow will be the first day of a new cycle, and the seedling will need your time and attention.  Let the energies Akbal be sufficient, for you are still completing the last cycle.  Today is your chance to be the dreamer, and tomorrow you can step back into the dream.

Thursday, August 7, 2008 is 6 Akbal (Night, House): Akbal is a step into the abyss, the gestation period of this cycle. In our cake baking parable the day of Akbal is the time in the oven. We watch, and we wait. We understand that good things will come, but at this time it is not quite ready. Six gives us another expansion in our internal universe as we anticipate what we know will be.   How do we use the  influence of Akbal on this day?   I believe it is by taking care of what we do in this interim period.  Be careful what you think, and what you assume.  You are the greatest example of what you believe, and the strongest influence of what you perceive.

Saturday, June 28, 2008 is 5  Akbal  (Night):   Welcome to the slap.  Today will be a strong pull toward turning inward and exploring self.  Five gives us centering, and through the act of meditation, or inward focus, we will be able to achieve this centeredness.  There is good reason for this inward journey, and that reason will be disclosed later in the cycle.
