Sunday, August 31, 2008 is 4 Manik (Deer, Hand): Today is the first day of completeness, represented by the number four.  The gentle hand of Manik, the deer, leads us from the darkened space of Cimi and into the light.  It is here that we see the beauty of the world, and all it has to offer. 

This is what we are here for, this moment.  Cherish what you have in the moment, the true gifts offered to all of us.  This is not about what you do or where you are going, those are the transient things in life.  No, today is about opening your eyes to the real treasures, and attuning yourself to the beauty in life. 

There is a reason for this day beyond awareness of the moment, for your focus on life today will greatly affect what you receive tomorrow.

Saturday, August 30, 2008 is 3 Cimi (Death):  This cycle truly is in the spirit of balance.  Yesterday we had the fire and passion of Chicchan, and today we have the restful, internal surrender into the hands of Cimi.  The best way to view Cimi in this cycle is through the moment before a birth.  

Life does not begin with birth, it begins with conception.  This is the third day of the cycle.  We have seen the beginning, giving us the seed.  We have infused into the seed all the passion and life we can muster, and on the day of Cimi we incubate that energy.  We must have stillness to see our reflection in the pond, and it is in seeing ourselves clearly that we also find vision for our direction.

Friday, August 29, 2008 is 2 Chicchan (Serpent): Today is a day of celebration.  The energy of chicchan greets us with that force of duality we hinted at yesterday.  Chicchan is that force of the kundalini energy, a strong body energy that weaves a crisscrossed pattern as it flows steadily up the spine.  We have duality in our masculine and feminine as well, but chicchan reminds us of the wonderful dance when those those two energies combine. 

Today is a day to enjoy the power of the dance, when any two forces or energies combine.  We understand that one plus one equals two, but in some cases the results are exponential.  Our duality is at times a means of struggle, but it can also be a thing of beauty.

Thursday, August 28, 2008 is 1 kan (Seed, Lizard):  This cycle will be one of surprises.  Combining the start of a new cycle, through the number one, with the seed aspect of kan gives us a strong sense of a new beginning.  The image of a toddler taking those first steps is vivid, with the awkwardness of the movement and the struggle to maintain balance. 

Perhaps this is the theme of this cycle: balance.  Our duality-based world is echoed though out the duality of our journey, with no judgment of what is good or bad along the way.  Our perceptions and our own internal judgment can take a beautiful moment and turn it into misery, but we can also take a loss and find the space it creates for the future.

Wednesday, August 27, 2008 is 13 Akbal (Night, House):  Akbal can be a frightening presence, for it is the darkness and the unknown.  But it is within this space that we also dream, and our dreams are the playground of our journey. 

Akbal is the night, but it is also the house, our inner sanctuary and place of rest.  There is no stagnation in this day, for the next cycle has already come into being, and originates in the dream.  Tomorrow will be the first day of a new cycle, and the seedling will need your time and attention.  Let the energies Akbal be sufficient, for you are still completing the last cycle.  Today is your chance to be the dreamer, and tomorrow you can step back into the dream.

Tuesday, August 26, 2008 is 12 Ik (Wind):  Yesterday we had a wonderful earthly day, as we shared with mother earth the wonderful energies.  Today we have the ricochet of energies as the earth rebounds and sends forth a burst of breath to spirit. 

Where are we in all of this?  Return to the post of August 21^st, 2008.  How you be anywhere but in the middle of it all, for your are the vessel.  Our mind can play tricks on us, and separate us from who we truly are.  If you find yourself lacking then you have only stepped out of your dream.  Today is a day to step back into the flow, and feel the wind of Ik bring balance and simplicity into your world.

Monday, August 25, 2008 is 11 Imix (Alligator):  These next few days will be days of integration.  Yesterday we had the spiritual side, being in flow with the Christ consciousness and the divine presence.  It is also stated, “on earth as it is in Heaven”.  Today is the day of Imix, our primal earthly presence. Today is the day to bring our newest creation into the physical.

On this day we bring the bounty of this cycle all the way down to the cellular level.  We drink of the waters.  We breath in the essence of life.  Give freely to Gaia, our mother earth, and dispel any thought of giving it all away, for Gaia returns all that we give her, and more.
